Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support the finance department and timely delivery of financial information. Reconciling stock monthly, Statement reconciliation, Purchase Ledger/Sales Ledger tasks, assisting/providing all round department cover as and when required.

Responsibilities



Monthly stock reconciliation and related reports Monthly supplier statement reconciliation to a deadline Monthly coding and processing company credit cards Monthly mileage recording Weekly processing of stock usage & posting of stock & mileage batches Weekly Subcontractor insurance checks Checking weekly payroll Processing weekly timesheets on a regular basis Purchase Ledger tasks such as authorising invoices and processing - as requested/cover Purchaser Ledger bank reconciliation - as requested/cover Sales Ledger invoicing - as requested/cover Sales Ledger forecast - as requested/cover Running Opera Month End and printing reports (out of hours) - as requested/cover Provide essential cover for other holidays/absences within the department Helping within the department to ensure that month end processes are run on time every month and as and when required Any other duty as reasonably requested to facilitate the smooth running of the finance department

Skills



Requires previous experience within a finance position which includes reconciliations Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, including extensive use of VLOOKUPs and Pivot tables. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team

Work pattern



Monday - Friday 08:30-16:30 (40hrs per week)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 28,500.00 per year
