The Accounts Assistant will primarily support the day to day operations of the Accounts Receivable function across all group entities, with additional scope to assist the Accounts Payable team as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES



Process client invoices, including both revenue and pass through costs Assist the Accounts Receivable Manager on credit control activities Perform media spend reconciliations during month-end close to ensure accuracy and completeness of media-related costs Reconcile media holding accounts in the balance sheet to ensure accurate financial reporting Process purchase invoices for suppliers including pass through costs Bank reconciliations Reconciliation of transactions on the Travel and Entertainment platform, Navan Assist in month-end reconciliation and posting of accounting journals as requested by the Group Financial Accountant to facilitate month-end closing procedures Support the weekly supplier payment runs, allocating and posting payments to the system and sending remittances Keep supplier platform (Align) updated and undertake new supplier verification checks Produce supplier statement reconciliations and investigate differences Provide support in managing the accounts receivable, accounts payable and media spend inbox when requested Assist with the annual audit Assist with ad-hoc queries from the business

PERSON SPECIFICATION



Strong attention to detail with an analytical and methodical approach to tasks Passion for accounting and finance with an aptitude for numbers Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume, transaction oriented environment Highly organised with the ability to re-prioritise workload depending on the urgency of requests Proven competence of working in a team environment to achieve a shared goal but also confident when working independently Approachable individual with excellent, interpersonal and communication skills capable of building strong working relationships with internal staff and clients Computer literate with a strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint (or Google Suite equivalent), specifically Excel where intermediate skills are essential (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, basic data manipulation) Previous experience working with Xero is preferable but not required

Standard hours are from 9.00am to 5.30pm, there's flexibility if agreed in advance with your line managers (it may also be necessary on occasions to work outside of these hours).
