About the Role:
As our new Accounts Assistant, you'll play a key role in the smooth running of the finance function. You'll work across both sales and purchase ledger processes, support month-end duties, and help prepare for audits, all while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform bank reconciliations
Process purchase ledger invoices
Match delivery notes and purchase orders with invoices
Reconcile supplier statements
Maintain the sales ledger control account
Manage customer credit accounts and reconcile statements
Assist with month-end and year-end account preparation
Support the external audit process
Maintain accurate customer records and handle queries
Work with multiple currencies and international transactions
Provide general support and carry out ad hoc duties as needed
What We're Looking For:
AAT Level 3 qualified or equivalent, with solid bookkeeping experience
At least 2 years' experience in a finance or accounting role
Proficient in
Sage 50
and
Microsoft Office
(especially Excel)
Strong organisational and time management skills
Confident communicator and team player
Detail-oriented, able to multitask and work well under pressure
A proactive, positive attitude with a flexible approach
