Job Description

RW Joinery (Stockport) Limited manufactures, installs and maintains bespoke timber fire doorsets with a factory based in Stockport and a business that operates nationwide, with a turnover of 10m.

We work in a variety of sectors including health, retail, commercial. residential and education.

We are now seeking an experienced and confident accounts assistant to join our team.

Assisting with all areas of accounting within the company, you will report directly to the Accounting Manager.

You will have/be:

Operational accounting and reporting experience. Having experience in the Construction Industry will be an advantage.

Good understanding of finance systems including Sage.

Computer literacy.

Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Tools such as Excel and Word.

Fluent in English, confident on the phone.

What you'll be doing:

Issuing of sales ledger statement and chasing customers for payment.

Posting of bank transactions, together with monthly bank reconciliations.

Setting up new customers on the Sage package.

Assisting the Accounts Manager, in the production of reports ahead of monthly management accounts.

Assisting in the preparation of internal management accounts and financial reports.

Assisting the Accounts Manager in the day-to-day monitoring of the company's cashflow procedures.

Assisting with the running of the company's weekly and monthly payroll.

Assisting the Audit Manager in the preparation of information for external accreditation audits.

Liaising with the estimating team to monitor credit facilities and upcoming works.

Liaising with our production departments all goods despatched are promptly invoiced.

Ensuring that all necessary subcontract sales are accounted for.

Assist with general administration duties.
