This position involves managing accounts, assisting with data entry, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have experience with accounting software and a keen eye for detail.
Duties
Assist in processing of sales invoices
Conduct data entry tasks related to financial records and transactions.
Maintain accurate records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
Support month-end closing processes by preparing necessary reports and reconciliations.
Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
Cash management.
Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding customer invoicing queries.
Maintain accurate accounts receivable files and records.
Conduct credit checks on new and existing customers.
Customer account reconciliation.
Prepare and send out statements, reminders and cash collection documentation to clients.
Monitoring customer accounts to ensure timely payment is made.
Instigate credit stop procedure and monitor accordingly.
Investigation and resolution of banking discrepancy queries.
Ad hoc administrative duties as required.
Experience
Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred.
Familiarity with working in credit control is advantageous.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero is highly desirable.
Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Good communication skills to liaise with colleagues and external stakeholders.
Good Microsoft office experience including excel skills and confident with spreadsheets and basic formulas.
Working hours are 37.5 per week, plus 30 minutes unpaid lunch break, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 08:00 - 17:00. Typical shift pattern, 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00.
22 days per year annual leave entitlement + UK bank holidays.
