Overview



We are seeking an Account Assistant / Stud Administrator to join our team at a premier equine reproductive centre. This role is integral to maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily transactions, and supporting the organisation's accounting functions as well as general administration. The successful candidate will be highly organised, have experience with accounting software (Sage), and possess strong data entry skills. The ideal candidate will have interest/experience in the equine industry.

Responsibilities



Utilise accounting software platform (Sage 50) to record financial transactions. Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing. Collaborate with external vendors and service providers regarding billing and payments. Reconcile accounts and prepare financial reports as required. Assist with month-end closing procedures. Vat return preparation. Support internal teams with general administration and reporting needs. Adhere to internal system, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications



The ideal candidate should possess:

GCSE (or equivalent) including Maths and English, Grade C/4 or above. Proven experience with accounting software such as Sage. Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial data management. Experience working within the financial services industry is desirable. Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e Excel, Word, Outlook) as well as being adaptable to our stud and veterinary program. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Ability to work methodically to tight deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
