Job Purpose: The Finance Assistant provides support for financial and project administration ensuring all income and expenditure is processed and input onto the Sage accounting system.
Salary: Experience and qualification dependant 24,000 - 30,000 plus benefits package
Hours: 35 hours, Monday to Friday between 830am-5pm
Contract: Full time, [Permanent]
Location: Must be able to travel to our building sites based in the Cheshire West Area and Head office based in Tarporley
Roles and Responsibilities:
Maintain ledgers, including purchase and sales
Follow accounting standards and company policies
Reconcile and ensure accuracy of balance sheet items
Raise bank payments using the banking facility
Maintain finance systems and internal controls
Support site teams with key financial information
Prepare and submit CIS returns
Prepare VAT returns
Help improve finance processes continuously
Complete ad hoc tasks appropriate to the role
Finance role experience is essential, AAT qualification, or working towards AAT. Training will be provided--particularly on construction/building industry processes (CIS/VAT/site finance).
Requirements:
AAT qualified, studying AAT, or equivalent experience
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Work accurately and meet deadlines using a logical approach
Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivots, analysis) and MS Office
