Job Description

We are looking to recruit a part time Accounts Assistant to add to our friendly team in our accountancy practice based in Tetbury. This could be ideal for someone who is early in their accountancy career and perhaps is studying for AAT.

The role will include a range of accounting and bookkeeping work and training will be provided. As time progresses further work / skills could be added. The list below gives an example of some of the work involved.

Assistance in preparation of year end accounts. Assistance with bookkeeping matters. Spreadsheet work. Invoice entry and uploading.
Experience of Xero would be advantageous, however, one to one training will be provided. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.

The role is varied and gives great experience of working in a practice. Good organisational skills are essential.

The successful candidate will need to have a good level of verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate with colleagues and clients regarding basic information and queries.

An inquisitive and analytical nature together with the ability to learn new skills and demonstrating a willingness to be flexible to meet the varying demands of the practice are essential.

Looking for approximately 22.5 hours per week, howe these are delivered would be open to discussion, but it is an office based role.

Job Types: Permanent, Part-time

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22.50 per week
