We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support the accounts department by managing various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing financial data. Duties
Assist with accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and vendor payments using accounting software such as Sage
Perform data entry tasks to update financial records accurately and promptly
Support month-end and year-end closing activities
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Maintain organised records of financial transactions and documentation
Utilise systems to input and retrieve financial data
Assist with general administrative duties related to finance functions as required
Qualifications
Familiarity with excel & sage
Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial documentation standards
Previous experience within financial services or similar sectors is preferred
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
A recognised qualification in accounting or finance is beneficial but not essential
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
