We have an opportunity for an accounts assistant to join us and its ideally suited for someone looking to develop within a successful and growing business.
Working with a small team, you will be someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively and professionally but able to apply initiative.
Reporting directly to our Finance Manager, you will be a highly motivated, astute individual, who can help move the business forward.
The role is essential in providing accurate and timely information and will include, but not limited to:
Processing high volume transactions into accounting software (Sage50)
Posting bank transactions and reconciling back balances into the accounting software
Processing and coding purchase invoices
Supplier reconciliations and discrepancy resolution
Credit control
Assisting with financial queries from other departments
Supporting queries from external stakeholders
Processing customer payments
Organising and maintaining the accounting records electronically
Other ad-hoc duties within the finance team
Other ad-hoc tasks set by the Finance Manager
Key Skills and Experience
Essential
Experience of Sage50
Strong Microsoft skills
Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
A thorough and diligent approach to work with a good eye for accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Collaborative and able to work with other departments
Desirable
AAT Level 4 Qualified
Power BI
Proficient with pivot tables
