Brearley Building Services Ltd are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team.
You will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, accounting and administrative tasks.
The individual needs to be organised, have an eye for detail, self-motivated, trustworthy and hardworking with the ability to build strong relationships with both clients and colleagues.
The role is based in our modern, spacious, comfortable office in Queensway New Milton
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Purchase ledger data entry
Company credit card data entry.
Reconciliation of bank accounts.
Reconcile supplier statements.
Supplier payments on a monthly basis.
Assist with raising sales invoices.
Managing outstanding debtors.
Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
Preparing and submitting CIS returns.
Producing regular reporting for management.
Negotiating prices when sourcing materials or plant hire.
Support the MD with any specific tasks as required.
General tasks related to business administration (including company vehicles, company insurance, health and safety)
To be considered for this role, you will need the following:
Experience of working with accounts software (QuickBooks).
Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Proven work experience within bookkeeping/accounting role.
Can work using own initiative.
Previous experience within construction-based companies would be useful.
Above all we are looking for someone with a 'can do' attitude, a willingness to learn and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Job type: Part-time, permanent.
Salary: 15 per hour
Hours: This role requires 15 hours a week.
The hours will be Tuesday - Thursday 0930hrs to 1430hrs.
The role can fit around school hours.
