Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Office Manager with a strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles. Applicants should possess good communication skills and be fluent in English.

The role involves being responsible for managing all daily transactions within the accounts office as well as providing management reports on a weekly and monthly basis. This is very much a hands-on position so applicants should have a good working experience of all aspects of the day to day running of the accounts side of the business. We are a long established and profitable business with existing systems and procedures in place. The position is for a full-time office-based manager although part-time may be considered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:



Manage the daily activities of the accounts office, ensuring that all month-end and year-end activities are completed accurately and on time. Monitoring and Analysing data and producing reports on a weekly and monthly basis for management meetings. Maintaining accurate and complete financial records and participating in audits or reconciliations, as needed. Be able to prepare monthly accounts (P&L and balance sheet) for three companies. Prepare and submit information to statutory authorities including HMRC Liaise with professional services such as accountants and solicitors on behalf of the business. There are also some administration duties to be performed alongside the accounts duties, e.g. liaising with outside bodies for insurance quotes, preparing P11D info for accountant, arranging PAT testing, updating Health & Safety and Fire Risk Assessments and policies. This is general admin work and not anything that you would not come across in a busy work environment.

Requirements:



A minimum of three years' experience in an accounts office environment. This role requires a background in bookkeeping/accounting. Our current accounts package is Sage Line 50 although ideal it is not essential to have experience with Sage Line 50 software; but must have experience of using an accounts package on a day-to-day basis. A high level of efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail. Professional, enthusiastic common-sense approach to problem solving. Good inter-personal skills. Excellent spoken and written communication skills. Good organisational and time management skills. Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining high standards. Self-motivated and able to prioritise tasks with minimal supervision. IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office and happy to learn new systems/software where required.

Pay: 28,000.00-34,000.00 per year
