OVERVIEW
Our London Finance team is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Supervisor to join their growing team. As the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will report into the Finance Controller and play a crucial role in supporting the finance activities for our Entertainment and Sports businesses. The role has a wide range of responsibilities and will require someone who is proactive, organised and can work accurately and to tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Accounts Payable function including direct line management of 2 Accounts Payable Clerks, and providing guidance as and when required to aid their development. Ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of transaction processing into the financial system, Microsoft Dynamics 365. Managing the AP Mailboxes and ensuring an exceptionally high level of service. Manage the weekly payment process ensuring payments are made accurately and on time, including the review and approval of payment runs. Review and approve supplier invoices uploaded onto Microsoft Dynamics 365. Review and approve manual payment journals on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and allocating them. Review expense claim postings loaded onto Concur ensuring adherence to the T&E policy. Reviewing credit card statements to ensure all expenses submitted - following up with employees to ensure all credit card expenses are submitted. Reviewing and reconciling the aged creditor reports and resolving any outstanding issues. Resolving issues relating to invoices and payments. Leads the month end closing process for Accounts Payable. Reviews and provide improvements to the Accounts Payable processes and procedures. Assist in preparation of calculations, analyses and reports as requested by the Financial Controllers or Finance Director (UK & International). Assist in the annual statutory audits by preparing documentation and supporting schedules. Provide training to the wider business on Concur (expenses system). Support the business in a collaborative manner on expenses, credit cards and supplier payments. Working collaboratively with the AP colleagues to cover off all AP related tasks. Assist in system and process improvement projects. Assist the Financial Controllers or Finance Director (UK & International) in ad-hoc projects.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTSMinimum 5 years previous experience in Accounts Payable with at least 2 of those years in an Accounts Payable leadership role. Knowledge of accounting and VAT principles is essential. Proactive problem-solving ability with an interest in further development within the organisation. Must have excellent attention to detail and great organisational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as the role involves dealing with both internal and external stakeholders. Ability to be a team player with a conscientious and motivated attitude. Ability to work to multiple tight deadlines and prioritise effectively. Proactive manner, ability to use own initiative, and willingness to accept responsibility. Ability to be flexible, understanding that sometimes requirements can change. Friendly, personable and collaborative manner. Strong knowledge of Excel, including V look ups and Pivots. Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 desirable. An interest in the Sports and entertainment industry is desired.
