About us

The Accounts Payable (AP) Manager is responsible for overseeing Apogee's accounts payable department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all vendor invoices, expenses, and payment. The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity and internal controls combined with a continuous improvement mindset.



Key Responsibilities:



Manage and lead the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.

Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices.

Develop, implement, and maintain AP policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and audit requirements.

Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve any billing or payment disputes.

Review and approve payment runs, ensuring proper authorization and documentation.

Monitor accounts payable aging reports and ensure timely payments.

Reconcile accounts payable transactions and support month-end and year-end close processes.

Collaborate with procurement and other departments to optimize purchase-to-pay processes.

Assist with the year end audit by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.

Subject matter expert for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP Implementation.

Continuously evaluate systems and processes for improvement and automation opportunities



A typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one-hour lunch break. This role also offers flexibility to work from home, typically two days per week for a five-day working week.

About you

Been an Accounts Payable Manager previously.

Experience of end-to-end Accounts payable processes.

Experience with UK and International payments.

Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft D365 (F&O) preferred.

Accounting qualification such as AAT Level 3 or 4 preferred.

The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
