We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented

Accounts Payable Assistant

to join our friendly finance team. This part-time role is ideal for someone who has recently completed relevant qualifications or has some hands-on experience in finance or accounts payable and is looking to grow their skills in a supportive environment.

You'll play a key role in ensuring our supplier payments run smoothly, supporting month-end processes, and helping maintain accurate financial records. If you're organised, proactive, and eager to learn, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their finance career to gain hands-on experience and contribute to a busy and supportive team. Training will be provided where needed, and you'll be encouraged to develop your skills across a range of finance tasks.

Key Responsibilities



Process supplier invoices fortnightly, checking statements and resolving any queries. Reconcile nominal and control accounts monthly to maintain accurate ledgers. Perform bank reconciliations for our retail accounts (Retail 1 and Retail 2). Generate sales invoices for functions and follow up on outstanding payments. Support payroll by entering weekly timesheets and updating the holiday spreadsheet. Monitor packaging stock levels and place orders when needed. Update stock lists for both retail locations to ensure inventory accuracy. Learn our in-house systems to assist with general office admin tasks.

What We're Looking For



Essential:



Some experience in an accounts payable or finance administration role (minimum 1 year). Basic understanding of invoice processing and supplier statement reconciliation. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, or similar). Comfortable with bank reconciliations and maintaining ledgers. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. Willingness to learn and work collaboratively across departments.
