About the job
The Accounts Payable Support Manager oversees the AP Clerks, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. This role is critical for maintaining financial integrity and vendor relationship.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Manage and mentor a team of AP clerks, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
Oversee high-volume of invoice processing and team productivity, delegate additional tasks when presented.
Timely processing of vendor invoices, weekly BACS and Cheque proposals.
Ensure timely response to emails received
Manage own assigned Vendors
Support and guide AP Clerks.
You'll need to be:
2 Years+ accounts payable experience preferably gained in a high-volume environment.
Knowledge of SAP is highly desirable.
You will be comfortable undertaking basic manipulation of data on Excel (formulas, filter, sort).
Strong verbal and written communication skills as there is frequent contact with both internal and external customers.
Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality

South Western Railways HQ is based on the 4th Floor at South Bank Central, a stone's throw from the River Thames and a 10 minute walk from our busiest station, Waterloo. It is local to many well-known attractions, restaurants and retail facilities and is easily accessible by public transport.
