C.T.C. Wholesalers Ltd is a long-established and respected wholesaler based in Exeter, Devon. Having traded for over 40 years, we supply more than 3,500 product lines to petrol forecourts, convenience stores, hardware stores, farm shops and a wide range of independent retailers across the South of England.

We are now seeking an Accounts Supervisor to join our friendly finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounts professional who is looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in a well-established and growing business.

About the Role

Working directly with our Finance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and supporting the smooth running of the finance function. Your duties will include:

Supervising and supporting daily accounting activities

Overseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger, and credit control

Reconciling accounts and preparing monthly reports

Supporting year-end processes and audits

Ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely processing of financial information

Helping to improve systems, processes and efficiencies within the department

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced in accounts/finance roles (previous supervisory experience is an advantage)

Highly organised, accurate and confident with numbers

Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Excel (is an advantage but not necessary)

Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities

A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team

Motivated, reliable and proactive in identifying improvements
