Accounts Team Leader
to guide our finance team and help us continue to grow.
The Role
?
As Accounts Team Leader, you'll play a hands-on role in managing the day-to-day activities of the accounts department while motivating and supporting your team. You'll work closely with management, follow company direction, and ensure high standards of accuracy and efficiency across all finance processes.
This position requires a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with a passion for numbers and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, support, and motivate the accounts team, building morale and encouraging development.
Ensure smooth running of daily finance operations including invoicing and quoting
Handle challenging customer queries in a professional manner
Develop and maintain accurate financial statistics and help build company database for auditing and reporting
Work closely with other departments to align with company goals and processes
Support and update process improvements and ensure compliance with company policy
Assist with the preparation of quotes when cover required
Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner
Provide general administrative support to the finance team
Lead accounting projects as required
What We're Looking For
A minimum of two years' experience in an accounts/finance role, ideally with leadership experience
A good understanding of basic accounting principles
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (essential),
Xero
and
Numbers for Mac (desirable)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and communication skills
A proactive, friendly, and team-focused attitude
Ability to be proactive with your work
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
Strong problem-solving skills, able to deal with challenging situations calmly
Ideally AAT qualified or working towards qualification
