We're now looking for an Accounts Technician to join our welcoming Bridgwater office on a permanent basis.

Main Duties
In this varied and rewarding role, you'll be involved in:
Preparing
financial statements
for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships (up to the audit threshold)
Drafting
personal and corporate tax returns and computations
Providing
bookkeeping
and
management accounts
services to a range of clients
Preparing and submitting
VAT returns
Ensuring client accounting records are accurate and up to date
Filing documents with
Companies House
and
HMRC
on behalf of clients
Supporting the team with general admin tasks and helping ensure everything runs smoothly
Adhering to our internal procedures, ethical standards, and compliance requirements
You'll be working alongside experienced colleagues and supported by managers and partners who are invested in your development and success.

Attributes, Skills, Experience and Qualifications
We're after someone with polished technical skills, a proactive attitude, and a passion for client service. Ideally, you'll have:
Experience working in an accountancy practice at
Accounts Technician
or
Semi-Senior
level
AAT qualification
(or qualified by experience)
A background in preparing accounts for limited companies and unincorporated businesses
A friendly, team-focused attitude and strong communication skills
Good organisational skills and an ability to manage your time and deadlines
Confidence using Microsoft Office and cloud-based software
Attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy and quality
The ability to work independently and adapt to changing client needs
Terms / Benefits
Up to 36.25 hours / 5 days per week.
20 days annual leave plus bank holidays increasing to 25 days plus bank holidays after 3 years' service.
