Summary
We are looking for an Accounts Technician to support year end preparation, VAT checks, SATRs, payroll, CIS and general practice work. The role includes client liaison and provides business continuity when the director is unavailable. Suitable for someone who is AAT qualified, AAT part qualified or qualified by experience.
Key Duties
Prepare draft year end accounts in FreeAgent and Xero
Review ledgers, director loan accounts and asset balances
Prepare VAT return checklists and raise queries
Support SATRs for CIS and straightforward cases
Process payroll and CIS returns
Post journals, handle depreciation and tidy balance sheet items
Record clear notes and queries in Engager
Liaise with clients for additional information
Attend a short weekly check in with the senior team
Deputise for the director when required
Requirements
AAT qualified, AAT part qualified or qualified by experience
Strong bookkeeping skills including journals, bank reconciliations, payroll and CIS
Experience with FreeAgent and Xero or able to learn quickly
Organised working style with tidy files
Clear communicator
Welsh speaking an advantage
