Job Description

We're seeking an engaging and committed individual to help develop the next generation of accountants. You'll deliver Level 2 and 3 Accountancy Apprenticeship Standards, supporting learners as they build strong professional foundations and helping businesses develop confident and skilled staff.

We strongly welcome applicants who are new to training. If you bring accounting practice or industry experience and a passion for developing others, we'll be able to support you through the Level 5 Learning and Teaching Skills Apprenticeship to prepare you for the role with a cohort of internal colleagues. Equally, we welcome applicants who have previously delivered training in subjects where there are complementary skills and a genuine interest in progressing into Accountancy training (for example Business, Mathematics, Economics). In this situation you would be supported to undertake Accountancy training through AAT Qualifications as part of your role.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:



Training Delivery



Support the Accounts delivery team to plan and design curriculum to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours that Apprentices need to successfully achieve end point assessment. Deliver high-quality Teaching and Learning in accordance with the company's Teaching and Learning Strategy. Undertake Initial Assessment activities (including assessment of prior learning) in accordance with the quality procedure.

Learner Support



Assist learners in the preparation and development of a Learning Plan, identifying areas of current competence and agreeing and recording targets for achievement. Undertake Progress Reviews at least every 12 weeks in accordance with the quality procedure. To work with others to ensure that learners, staff, and other customers are treated with respect and consideration, and are free from any form of harassment or discrimination.

Employer Engagement



Build positive working relationships with employers and support their understanding of learner progress. Represent the organisation in a professional and collaborative way.

Quality & Continuous Improvement



Assist colleagues with self-assessment and quality improvement activities. Promote a respectful, inclusive learning environment where everyone feels safe and valued.

Salaries



30,000 - 36,000 depending on experience

Essential Criteria



Minimum of 5 GCSE grades A-C including Maths and English, or equivalent Either: Level 3 Accounts qualification and have a willingness to work towards level 4 or; Experience in delivering training / teaching up to Level 3 / A-Level in a relevant subject Confident, professional and able to inspire and guide others Strong organisational and time-management skills Able to work well as part of a team Good ICT skills, including Microsoft Office Commitment to ongoing professional development Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
