Working as a valued leader within our pharmacy team and under the clinical supervision of the Responsible Pharmacist, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate provision of prescriptions. Your primary accountability is to guarantee patient safety by applying your accredited expertise in the final check process.

Primary responsibilities:
As our ACT, you will be crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of prescriptions. Your main duties will include:
Accurate Checking:
Performing the final accuracy check on dispensed prescriptions, including monitored dosage systems (MDS), prior to supply to the patient, freeing up the Pharmacist for clinical duties.
Dispensing Support:
Assisting the pharmacy team with general dispensing and stock management duties when not checking.
Patient Care
: Providing excellent customer service and advice to patients, escalating clinical queries to the Pharmacist.
Service delivery
: Partake in clinical service delivery within your competency and training.
Compliance:
Ensuring all dispensing and checking activities comply with relevant GPhC standards, company procedures, and legal requirements.
Person specification
u NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services; ACT qualification;
u Methodical, exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety;
u Commitment to continuing professional development and training;
u Trustworthy and understanding of confidentiality issues;
u Strong communication and excellent customer service skills;
u Professional, tactful and friendly attitude;
u Excellent team working skills;
u Confident in use of pharmacy software & I.T. literacy
