Job Description

For the past few years Trelissick has taken part in the National Trust Summer of Play programme which takes inspiration from family festival programming by offering a multitude of invitations and ways to play for families across the summer holidays.


The Active Outdoors Assistant will help set up the activities, welcome families daily, and ensure presentation standards of the Play hub remain high throughout the summer, providing the safe and clean experience visitors expect creating a positive and lasting impression.


Contract:

We have two contracts available, 1 x 30 hours per week & 1 x 22.5 hours per week.



What it's like to work here:Trelissick is set on its own peninsula, with panoramic views over the Fal Estuary. The house provides the perfect setting to enjoy the ever-changing seascape and countryside with refreshments from the tea-room. Visitors can follow meandering paths through the garden, leading to exotic planting and formal lawns with herbaceous borders bursting with colour. There are longer walks through the historic park and woodland, which sweep down towards the estuary, as well as along Lamouth Creek to the Iron Age promontory fort and 18th century quay at Roundwood.



What you'll be doing:Active Outdoors Assistants will be instrumental in helping to deliver our Summer of Play programme. You will help set up the activities, welcome families daily, and ensure that the presentation standards of the play hub remain high throughout the summer, providing the safe and clean experience visitors expect creating a positive and lasting impression of this event.
