We have the opportunity available for an Activities/Engagement Co-ordinator at The Partnership in Sherrington House, Ipswich, Suffolk.

Our Engagement Team are fundamental to the resident's sense of well-being and social enhancement. You will be responsible to plan, organise and run a varied and stimulating monthly programme of activities.

Do you have experience healthcare or within a similar role?

No formal qualification is required, we see life experience and personal values as just as important. We do require you to have a full driving licence to enable you to support our residents to be able to access the local community with our mini bus.

What do we offer?

A chance to work in our one of our homes from home and support our residents to live as they choose.

A 30 hour per week contract, which will include working alternate weekends.

A joining bonus of 200 with a further 200 for any applicant who stay with the company for four months.

We do not offer sponsorship.

Responsibilities of the role:
- Plan, organize, and coordinate a variety of activities for residents in a care home.
- Develop and implement engaging programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Create a calendar of events and activities to ensure a diverse range of options for residents.
- Collaborate with staff, residents, and families to identify individual interests and preferences.
- Coordinate transportation and logistics for off-site outings and trips.
- Maintain accurate records of participation and feedback from residents.
- Ensure activities are inclusive and accessible for residents with varying levels of physical and cognitive abilities.
- Monitor the effectiveness of activities and make adjustments as needed.

Your Skills:
- Knowledge of dementia care and understanding of the unique needs of individuals with memory loss.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Creativity in developing engaging programs that cater to a diverse resident population.
- Empathy and compassion for the elderly population.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address any challenges or issues that may arise during activities.
