Over the last 50 years, Capel Manor College has helped thousands of school leavers and adults achieve their dream of working with animals, plants and the environment. As London\'s environmental college, the College plays a vital role in the green agenda for the capital, equipping the next generation of land-based sector workers with the skills and knowledge needed to preserve and protect London\'s wildlife, national parks and green spaces. Capel Manor College is an exciting, innovative and stimulating work environment and we are interested in hearing from applicants who are committed to excellence and improving the lives of others through education, training and skills development.

The College is now looking to appoint an Additional Learning Support Administrator to support its busy learning support team. The successful candidate will be the main point of contact for all learning support enquiries at the College and will support all High Needs and Special Education Needs student processes. They will be required to provide general administrative support to the team including monitoring the learning support email inbox, drafting and sending correspondence, taking minutes at meetings, filing and distributing post and other documents, as required. They will ensure that the College has all relevant documentation in place pertaining to a student\'s support needs and ensure that College databases and systems relating to student support needs are kept up-to-date.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in an administrative environment. Some experience working in an education or training environment would be useful, but is not essential. Effective IT skills including Word, Excel and database skills are important. We are also looking for someone who has excellent attention to detail, good customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to form effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders including other College staff, students, parents and carers and external agencies.

What\'s in it for you?

We offer the opportunity to help develop your skills and knowledge in a friendly team environment, plus a range of benefits including generous annual leave, a defined benefit pension scheme (Teacher\'s Pension Scheme for Lecturing roles and Local Government Pension Scheme for Support roles), employee assistance programme and full access to Capel Gardens.

Equality, diversity and inclusion

Capel Manor College is committed to creating and promoting an equal, diverse and inclusive workforce that enables those working at the College to achieve their full potential. We are committed to achieving a truly representative workforce and therefore welcome applications from all sections of the community.

Safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of our students and expect everybody working for the College to share this commitment. We actively seek DBS clearance checks for applications of employment as part of our safeguarding procedures.
