Learning Support Assistant - Ty Coryton

Location: Ty Coryton, Cardiff

Salary: \xc2\xa322,133.00 to \xc2\xa323,205.00 (pro rata) 40 weeks per year Term Time Only based on 37.5 hours per week

Actual salary: \xc2\xa319,409.00 to 20,349.00.

Ty Coryton is a residential home and specialist school in Cardiff for children with complex needs associated with autism. Our welcoming approach blends education and care with therapeutic support. Our pupils thrive in small classes with support from a dedicated and creative team of education professionals and therapists. Education at Ty Coryton is engaging, motivating and above all, fun!

A typical day will include:

  • Providing high quality teaching and learning opportunities using a variety of teaching approaches and activities support pupils to make progress towards their agreed accreditations.
  • Supporting teachers with the planning, preparation and assessment of learning opportunities.
  • Assisting with the planning and implementation of off-site activities.
  • Assisting pupils who require help during morning routines, lunch/break times or with personal care.
