About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented
Admin and Bookkeeping Apprentice
to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to start a career in accounting and finance while gaining hands-on experience in an established practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle incoming calls, emails, and client enquiries professionally.
Maintain accurate client records and update the practice management system.
Assist in preparing engagement letters, filing correspondence, and managing deadlines.
Support the onboarding of new clients and maintain compliance documentation.
Organise digital and paper filing systems.
Provide general office support such as scanning, printing, and scheduling meetings.
Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping for clients using software such as Xero/ QuickBooks.
Record purchase and sales invoices accurately.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash.
Key Requirements:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 6 or above.
No prior bookkeeping experience required, but an interest in accounting and finance is essential.
Additional Requirements:
Professional attitude and a willingness to work as part of a small, supportive team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
Demonstrates a professional attitude in all aspects of the role, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
