School Support Pay Scale pint 7 -11 (26,403 - 28,142). Actual for TTO + 4 weeks 25,152 - 26,808

Edgar Wood Academy is seeking a highly organised, friendly and professional

Admin Assistant

to join our front-of-house and school office team.


As the first point of contact for visitors, parents and staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the academy while delivering an exceptional standard of service to our school community. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a modern, growing secondary school within the supportive Altus Education Partnership.

About the Role




You will:

Provide a warm, professional reception service and act as the main point of contact for visitors and telephone enquiries Deliver high-quality general administration including correspondence, records, systems and office support Manage staff absence calls from 7am and coordinate daily cover arrangements Maintain accurate data and use school systems such as Arbor and other MIS platforms Support school events, meetings and diary management Assist with pupil welfare, first aid and safeguarding procedures Work closely with the Systems & Operations Manager to ensure the school office runs efficiently

What We're Looking For




We are looking for someone who:

Has GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) Has administrative experience, ideally within a school or busy office environment Demonstrates excellent organisational and time-management skills Communicates confidently with students, staff, parents and external partners Handles confidential information with discretion and professionalism Is proactive, calm under pressure and able to prioritise competing demands Shares our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people Embodies our values of
