Job Description

The School of Information Risk Management (SIRM) is a private further and higher education college based in East London.

We are seeking a diligent and organised Admin & Attendance Officerto join our team. This role is essential in monitoring and managing student attendance records, ensuring compliance with college policies, and providing administrative support to the faculty and staff. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate attendance records and promoting a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Attendance Monitoring:



Record and maintain daily student attendance records using the college's attendance system. Monitor and follow up on student attendance patterns, including absences and lateness. Generate attendance reports and provide timely updates to administration. Communicate with students regarding attendance-related issues.

Administrative Support:



Provide general administrative support to the college's team, including filing, data entry, and scheduling. Assist in preparing and distributing communications, such as newsletters and notices. Coordinate and organise meetings, events, and appointments for staff and faculty. Provide reception services

Compliance and Reporting:



Ensure compliance with college policies and legal requirements regarding student attendance. Prepare and submit attendance reports to relevant authorities and stakeholders as required. Assist in the development and implementation of attendance policies and procedures.

Student Support:



Act as a point of contact for students, including attendance-related inquiries and concerns. Support students in understanding the importance of regular attendance and its impact on their academic performance. Collaborate with staff to address and resolve attendance-related issues.

Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent Degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred. Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in an educational setting. Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion. Ability to maintain high levels of professionalism

Work schedule:

5 days, Mon - Sat. Work on Saturday is required.
