We will have 2 fully equipped theatres, 8 recovery bays, 3 guest en-suite bedrooms, aiming to provide a personalised service for each patient.

JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of the role is to efficiently and effectively provide support to the operations board team and the wider clinical team. A high level of organisational skills will be needed for this role as this is supporting a very busy and expanding company
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES/TASKS/DUTIES
Receive telephone calls, emails and other forms of communication and respond. Ensure messages are relayed promptly and effectively
Assist and liaise with Managers regarding the completion of administrative tasks which include patient clinic laters, preparing operation notes, invoices and files, requesting and chasing GP letters and medical information and calls to patients.
Provide position specific information when required and assist with ensuring absolute compliance of a patient file before their surgery takes place.
Chaperoning in clinic when appropriate
Booking and rescheduling appropriate clinic appointments for patients under instruction.
Respond to queries in person, by phone and email from various stakeholders across the business
Escalate calls where you cannot respond but always ensure the patient receives a response
Communicate and update with Managers throughout all stages of the preparation process
Lead admin team effectively
Social media management
Liaise with surgeons, anaesthetists and other healthcare professionals; share information to assure patient is suitable for surgery
Transcribing patient clinic letters
Act immediately and include the Clinical Director if you feel an operation is unsafe or should not proceed
Greeting patients on arrival at the hospital and directing to appropriate department
Daily tasks to include updating vital documents, ordering of meals, completion of the purchase order process, distributing clinical on call information and admission calls
Ensure laboratory/pathology is booked as required, taxi's where needed and act as a liaison between front of house and theatres.
Prepare patient discharge bags to include the patient information material, manage orders and collections as they arrive, including waste, clinical waste and sharps
Fire safety management, and weekly checks and evacuation
Patient refreshment coordination
Skills and experience required
High standard of personal behaviour
Able to communicate effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, patients and relatives.
Experience in healthcare desirable but not essential
Experience in administrative role is essential
Experience managing a team is desirable
