Administration and Finance Assistant

is a renewable company looking for an organised, motivated, and detail-oriented Administration and Finance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a reliable team player with excellent communication skills and a strong desire to learn new skills. You should be able to prioritize your work and be able to manage time effectively. We expect you to be a self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities



Administrative Responsibility:



Manage office supplies, inventory and order as necessary. Coordinate travel and accommodation for staff as required. Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence. Customer liaison Meet and greet visitors to the office, providing an initial POC and introduction. Use and maintain company digital and physical software and filing systems for documents and records.

Financial Responsibility:



Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. Reconciliations, Payroll etc Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies. Prepare documentation for audits and liaise with auditors as needed.

General Responsibility:



Process Improvement identify opportunities for process improvement. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Work closely with the colleagues to achieve departmental goals. Comply with company and regulatory policies and procedures. Other tasks as deemed necessary and within scope of role by Senior Management.

Requirements



Proven experience as Bookkeeper or similar role Proficient in using accounting software such as Xero(preferable), QuickBooks, or Sage, as well as MS Office software Aware of financial management principles and practices Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in reporting Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, customers and suppliers. Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the renewable energy sector. Responsible for updating and maintaining information systems on CRM. Work safely in adherence to company Health and Safety policy and efficiently at all times. Maintain KPIs in line with Business requirements.

Job Type



Full-time, Permanent.

Mon-Fri (No weekends)

Work Location: In office in Manchester, must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.

Essential requirements

Administrative experience required: 5 years minimum, Accounting/Bookkeeping: 2 years experience minimum, GCSE C or above: Maths and English , Fluent at written and spoken English, IT awareness, competent knowledge and user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Project Management software, Excellent communication (verbal, written and digital) and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Benefits:

25,000 - 32,000 PA Company pension, Free on site Parking, Health and Wellbeing programme, Private medical insurance
