Administration Assistant required in the office of a growing online retail company, selling over 5000+ military and outdoor products in the UK and Worldwide.
You will report directly to the Finance Manager and help with the accounting and administrative activities of the company on a daily basis, main duties will include:
helping with the daily accounting activities of the company
updating and reconciling our systems with supplier stock invoices
assist with payments to suppliers, including foreign exchange payments, for purchases made by the company
support the manager with payroll and personnel administration
assist in the preparation of budget and sales reports
help prepare the quarterly VAT returns, and ensure all paperwork and export documentation is correct
assist with Health & Safety work
maintain the office stationery & supplies across all departments
coordinate with the cleaners to ensure the staff kitchen and offices are tidy
ensure all administrative paperwork is filed correctly
The different tasks are quite varied and the successful candidate will learn how an online business operates, gain admin knowledge of imports and exports, and many other areas of business.
You must have experience of using Excel, which is used extensively, and also Word and Outlook. Any experience of using accounting software like Xero accounting or similar software would be beneficial.
We are looking for a pro-active candidate who can take control of the financial and administrative side of the company's activities. Whilst previous experience in this area is desirable, the candidates' ability to learn quickly is equally important.
You will need to have good analytical, organisation and communication skills, and be able to investigate and resolve issues with minimal guidance.
The job can be part-time or full time, 20-35 hours per week, from roughly 9am to 5pm, but hours are negotiable.
Available training: On the job training will be provided, and we can provide financial help towards gaining a formal qualification in this area.
