This is a flexible part time role supporting the administration of various aspects of a small business which provides high-quality audio-visual installation services and event production support, primarily to professional clients.
The role will mostly be based in our office in Atherstone and involve working both with other team members and on your own in the office as others are frequently out on site.
The successful applicant must have good written and spoken English, and a good understanding of maths. They should be at ease in the use of Windows-based computers running a range of software including Word and Excel, and ideally Sage. They should be happy to communicate in person and over the phone with existing customers, suppliers and first-time contacts. The working environment is technical, while they don't need specific technical skills, an understanding of technology is essential. The applicant must be organised and tidy in their working environment.
We are a small business, so working closely with other team members and having a flexible attitude is important.
The applicant should ideally have a grade 5 (or C or above) GCSE pass in at least four subjects in the following order of priority:
English - essential
Maths - essential
Computer Science
Physics or a Humanity

16 Hours per week over 4 days based on a 4hr working day, taken between core hours of approximately 9.00am - 3.00pm. At times, availability for additional hours based on workload would be helpful. Holiday is pro-rata to our standard full-time contract based on 20 days per annum. The position is based on 6-month standard contract that is reviewed and renewable on a rolling basis.
Pay Rate
12.50 per hour
Office Administration Support (40%of time)
Working under the supervision of the Office Manager tasks will include but not limited to:
Financial admin support - will include entering Sage.
Filing and regular admin task support on a range of business background requirements including: Health and Safety Compliance, HR Paperwork, Transport, Licensing, Business Property
Other operations-related administration
Marketing Support (50% of time)
Working alongside the office Manager, Directors and other staff.
Assisting with preparing quotes and proposals
Contacting new potential clients including businesses, schools, places of worship, performance and community venues.
Following up with existing customers and previous enquiries.
Admin support related to exhibitions, PR.
Some social media engagement
Project Administration Support (10%of time plus project based additional hours)
Much of this is done by the core project team however support in this is important particularly when they are busy on site or we have multiple large projects at once. In these tasks you will be working alongside other staff with specific expertise in these areas.
Placing & receiving hardware orders with suppliers
Producing risk assessments
Producing handover documents
Booking accommodation etc
Booking freelance staff
