Working closely with managers, other departments and technicians, the Administration Assistant will provide essential support to help keep the business running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is comfortable juggling a variety of tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate records of test requests, sample IDs, and results
Prepare and send test reports to clients
Coordinate daily schedules for lab technicians
Communicate with clients regarding test status, sample delivery, and results
Ensure all documentation complies with lab standards and quality procedures
Manage lab files (digital and paper) and archive reports
Support the Lab Manager with administrative tasks and compliance paperwork
Assist with invoicing and billing coordination related to lab services
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
2+ years of administrative experience, ideally in a technical or lab environment
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with laboratory procedures, terminology, or construction materials is an asset
Attention to detail and accuracy is essential
