An extremely busy principal/main contractor, about to relocate to Cumbernauld, with sites throughout Central Scotland are seeking an experienced and reliable office assistant to join our friendly team. The company undertakes a variety of refurbishment projects including commercial, residential and industrial.
Working as part of a small team within an open plan office, you will provide the operations department with all basic administrative support. This will involve answering telephone calls, booking jobs in to a computerised system, receiving deliveries, material sourcing/buying for projects, updating labour schedules, and general administrative work as directed. The position may also involve lone office working from time to time.
The ideal candidate will:
be capable of working with minimal oversight but must be able to follow directions closely.
possess attention to detail and take pride in delivering quality work.
be a good communicator in person and on the telephone.
be proficient in the use of MS office.
possess excellent organisational skills and enjoy meeting deadlines.
possess confidence in lone working,
possess a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude.
A background in construction and buying would be helpful, but is not essential. Training will be given for the role.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 14.00-14.40 per hour
