As Administration Assistant you will be one of the first points of contact for visitors and members of the public, handling a range of enquiries and playing a vital role in conveying our ethos of a helpful and proactive council. This is a customer facing role where you will be an indispensable part of the council's service delivery.
You will undertake a broad range of routine administration, from managing databases, reporting maintenance issues, maintaining stationery stocks and handling routine correspondence. All the different aspects which help keep a busy office and a busy council running efficiently.
You will help the council get its message out to the community by maintaining the council's websites and social media accounts and you'll help distribute leaflets/materials to town centre businesses to promote our events. You will also help coordinate room bookings at the Council Offices, Tabley Hill Chapel and Market Hall.
You will support our financial administration by recording receipts onto our finance system, raising invoices to customers and occasional banking. You'll also get involved in sourcing consumables for the office, our facilities and events.
