Do you take pride in keeping things running smoothly and want your work to genuinely make a difference?

At Diverse Academies Trust, we're looking for an organised, proactive and friendly

administrative assistant

who is keen to build their career in administration and operations.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of the Trust - ideal for someone who enjoys getting stuck in, keeping things organised and helping others work more efficiently. By supporting our central teams and chief executive leaders, you'll play an important part in ensuring our academies can focus on what matters most - delivering high-quality education and support for children and young people.

Key responsibilities

Providing proactive administrative support to the corporate operations team, helping to keep tasks, priorities and day-to-day work running smoothly. Acting as the first point of contact at head office, including meeting and greeting visitors, staff and external partners in a professional, welcoming and helpful manner. Managing incoming phone calls, emails and post, making sure enquiries are passed to the right people and dealt with promptly. Supporting collaboration across the Trust by helping to maintain Microsoft Teams and SharePoint areas, alongside other shared digital platforms. Keeping accurate electronic and paper records, ensuring information is well organised, easy to find and stored securely. Supporting day-to-day office and reception operations, including ordering supplies and ensuring the office environment is tidy, professional and welcoming. Co-ordinating room bookings, organising diaries and preparing materials to support effective meetings. Using a range of digital tools confidently, including proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Forms and Teams), and learning new systems as needed. Supporting reporting processes by checking documents for accuracy, clarity and professional presentation. Being a positive and reliable team member, supporting colleagues and demonstrating the Trust's values in everything you do.

What you'll bring

Strong organisational skills and a good eye for detail - you like keeping things accurate, tidy and up to date. Confidence using digital tools, particularly Microsoft 365, and the curiosity and willingness to learn new systems and ways of working. A positive, can-do attitude - you don't wait to be asked and are happy to spot what needs doing and get stuck in. The ability to work well in a busy environment, manage your time effectively and adapt when priorities change. Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to interact with a wide range of people. A genuine sense of pride in your work, with an understanding of the importance of accuracy, confidentiality and doing things properly. A desire to do a good job and make a difference - taking an interest in how your role supports colleagues, the Trust and, ultimately, children and young people.
