Here at Simpson and Parsons (part of Jensten Group), we are seeking to recruit an Administration Assistant to join our friendly and experienced Insurance team based in the heart of the Lakes.
Reporting to the General Manager and working within a small team, the main purpose of the role is to support the smooth running of the office, whilst providing a friendly and efficient service to our clients.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is seeking to work for successful local independent Insurance Broker and learn from an experienced team.
Key responsibilities as an Administration Assistant will include:
Assist in managing day-to-day administrative tasks, including data entry, and document preparation
Handle incoming calls and emails from clients and provide them with efficient and friendly service
Support the team by processing policy applications, endorsements, and cancellations accurately and within established timelines
Checking documentation from Insurers to ensure any errors or omissions are corrected prior to issue to clients
Liaising with insurers and clients to obtain information and updates, inputting accurately to the system
About you
As an Administrator, you will have experience of working in a fast-paced office environment, with the ability to multitask, and a desire to start and progress your career within insurance.
You will also be or have:
Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
Confident and effective telephone skills
The ability to prioritise and organise own workload
The ability to work supportively and jointly with colleagues
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines when required
Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Attention to detail and ability to analyst data
Handle confidential information in a professional way
