Administration Assistant

Wymondham, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Job description

We are recruiting a part time (30 hours) administration assistant to join our friendly motivated legal support team. This position requires a very organised individual with a high attention to detail. A willingness to learn and be adaptable is essential in this varied role. An area of focus will be supporting our in-house Renewals team, responsible for monitoring legal deadlines, preparing and sending out quotes, carrying out instructions and updating our case management system.

Overall duties will include general administrative and office tasks, client correspondence, database entry, telephone switchboard handling, payment processing, filing and printing, case management, post processing, email monitoring, sending out of standard letters and reminders, paralegal support tasks, welcoming visitors and offering/preparing them drinks, and general office support. All specialist task knowledge and training will be provided.

The role will be based in our Wymondham office at all times. A key reason for the recruitment is to strengthen on-site office support so home-working would not be an option. The wider company in general largely works remotely though, so the successful individual will have to be comfortable working in a quiet office the majority of the time, and be self-motivated to work efficiently without constant colleague or management input.

Ideal typical hours are 9.30am - 5pm (with a half-hour lunch break) Tuesday - Friday, although some variation to that may be considered.

This post is fixed term for initially one year, but the current desired outcome would be to offer a permanent opportunity in a year's time if the employee settles in well and performs effectively.

Experience of office administration and financial responsibility are essential, as is a high level of IT proficiency, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and some experience of completing tasks diligently that require a higher than normal attention to detail.

As we operate in a client-facing, deadline-driven, legal rights industry, organisational skills, accountability, communication skills and professionalism are paramount.
