We are looking for a part-time Admin Assistant to join our fast paced front of house team. The successful candidate will provide a professional welcome to our busy nursing home to both relatives and visiting professionals, be the first contact for any queries and provide key administrative support to the office team.

The candidate will need to be able to prioritise tasks effectively, screen and divert incoming calls efficiently and a keen eye for detail is essential. Previous experience within a care home or health care setting is desirable, and you must feel comfortable interacting with residents of the home. Full training will be provided. Previous experience with Microsoft Office (or Google equivalents) is essential.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited too;

Support with the safe recruitment of new staff, including completing DBS checks, requesting references, creating and sending offer letters, setting up new staff files. Support with data entry, uploading of documents and other confidential information onto our personnel systems. Maintain the required standards of confidentiality. Directly support the business administrator, deputy and home manager with administrative tasks. Completing audits and ensuring they are kept up to date. Support with sending communications, such as newsletters and invitations for home events to respective relatives/residents. Taking minutes at meetings. Welcome visitors to the home, and answer all enquiries, whether in person, email or telephone in a professional and courteous manner. Respond to requests from residents in a friendly and supportive manner, assisting them if able, prompting, or requesting assistance from the appropriate colleague. Ensure that office mail and residents' personal mail is delivered to the intended recipient daily. Keep the reception area tidy. Attend relevant colleague meetings and training as required. Ordering products online for various departments.
This is a high pressured, fast-paced environment and accuracy is critical for the smooth running of the home. In return we offer a competitive rate of pay, an optional private health care benefit, pension contributions and 28 says annual leave (pro-rata).
