Administration Officer - Children's Home



Location: St Elizabeth's Centre, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours/week)

Salary: 25,802 - 27,484 per annum (dependent on experience)

Administration Officer

to support the smooth running of our Children's Home.

About the Role




As the first point of contact for our Children's Home, you'll play a vital role in helping our team stay on top of daily admin, reporting and communication. Working closely with the management team and other departments, your skills will ensure that every child's experience at St Elizabeth's is supported by efficient, thoughtful processes behind the scenes.

What you'll do:



Provide responsive admin and secretarial support to the Children's Home management team Handle queries from families, professionals and colleagues with warmth and professionalism Support the preparation and submission of reports to regulatory bodies Arrange and attend key meetings, take minutes, and circulate documentation Monitor actions and ensure deadlines are met across key operational areas Contribute to the positive, can-do culture of the wider care team

About You




You're highly organised, a great communicator, and enjoy working in a role where no two days are the same. You understand the importance of discretion, especially in a setting that supports children and young people with additional needs.

Experience in a busy admin or secretarial role, ideally in health, social care or education Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail Friendly and confident when dealing with external partners, families, and colleagues Knowledge or understanding of children's residential care settings is desirable but not essential
