We are seeking an Administrative Assistant (0.5 FTE) to work on an exciting and innovative project 'Artificial Intelligence Researcher Development Network Plus (AI.RDN+)' funded by Research England. You will be based in the Department of Society and Politics, in the School of Law and Social Sciences, at Aston University, one of the country's leading universities for science, technology and enterprise.
This is a unique opportunity to work with an interdisciplinary team on the four-year project in a friendly and collegial working environment. AI.RDN+ is a unique project that is at the forefront of exploring the widespread adoption of publicly available artificial intelligence tools in doctoral research, the promotion of their responsible use and the creation of training, support and guidance for postgraduate research students, supervisors, examiners and doctoral colleges and schools.
You will provide administrative support for aspects of the project in the delivery of key project outcomes, support project meetings, events and consultations, maintain project records, communicate clearly with a diverse range of project partners and stakeholders, and manage all external inquiries.
You will ideally have experience of working in a higher education setting and/or as part of a complex team. You will also have experience of providing administrative support including record-keeping, communication with diverse individuals and organisations, arranging and supporting meetings and events, and ideally website support. You will have strong knowledge of Microsoft 365. Familiarity with university systems and the use of publicly available AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Co-Pilot etc.) would be an advantage.
