The Role - Administrative Assistant to Finance Manager



We are looking to appoint a highly organised Administrative Assistant to support the Finance Manager with day-to-day administration and ensure the smooth running of the department. The role involves:

General Administrative Support

- Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the Finance Manager.

Document Preparation

- Assist with preparing, formatting, and organising documents, letters, and invoices.

Filing & Record Management

- Maintain effective electronic filing systems to ensure documents are stored accurately and can be retrieved easily.

Data Entry & Updating Records

- Enter and update information into spreadsheets and internal systems.

Diary Assistance

- Support the Finance Manager with reminders for upcoming deadlines. Help monitor workloads, follow up on outstanding actions, and support the Finance Manager in keeping track of tasks.

Office Administration

- Monitor inboxes, manage scanning, printing, photocopying, and general admin duties to support the daily running of the office. Attend meetings, take notes and prepare paperwork where required.

Communication

- Handle email and telephone enquiries, communicate with internal colleagues and external contacts as directed, ensuring a professional and timely response.

The Candidate



Applicants must demonstrate:

A confident personality with excellent written and oral interpersonal communication skills. Proven administration skills Ability to work in an organised and efficient way Ability to work proactively, under pressure and to tight deadlines Desire to work with a small close team Experience with QuickBooks accounting software (not essential) Extensive experience of Outlook, Excel and all Microsoft 365 applications Proficiency with all aspects of IT and digitalisation A keen attention to detail.

Requirements



GCSE A-C in English and Maths (or equivalent) Previous administrative experience (accounting or financial preferred but not essential) You will be required to attend the office in Chorley.

Part Time 24 Hours per week, to be agreed with suitable applicant Based at our Chorley office Salary: 27,000.00 Pro Rata
