Job Description

We are one of the few remaining traditional farmhouse cheddar makers, producing three quarters of the UK volume. Traditional West Country Farmhouse Cheddar is made to methods and recipes that date back many hundreds of years and the process is performed almost exclusively by hand.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a full-time Administrative Assistant working 42.5 hours a week Monday to Friday, preferred hours 7am-4pm.

The role will suit candidates with administrative skills, excellent attention to detail & experience in customer service, who are looking to join a progressive and growing business where opportunities to develop will be available to those who show the necessary capabilities and aptitude. A conscientious and methodical working approach is a must coupled with a confident but pleasant manner when dealing with customers.

Purpose:


To ensure labels are picked and prepared in a timely fashion to ensure the smooth running of production. Offer support to sales & planning with administrative assistance ensuring customer service is maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:



Operating and monitoring label printing equipment safely and carry out daily maintenance/ cleaning. Print and prepare PRD's in a timely fashion (ideally 48hrs ahead) Undertaking manual handling tasks including delivering labels to production (24hrs ahead). Label stock taking and purchasing (to include investigating anomalies, moving stock, liaising with suppliers) Taking on some responsibility in helping organise work areas in the label printing room and setting up machinery where training permits to help run efficiently. Working within all company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards Use business systems such as NAV and QIS to accurately manage/record the movement of all forms of stock. Using safe working practices and relevant documentation to carry out tasks relevant to the area To carry out any other work or task determined to be within your level of competence, to meet the needs of the business. Essential



Functional (Basic) Maths - Level 2 Functional English Skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) - Level 2) Manual Handling Food Hygiene - Level 2. Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Excel
