Scottish Brain Sciences is a Life Sciences Company with Headquarters in Edinburgh, Scotland. We deliver clinical trials of new tests and treatments for a range of neurodegenerative conditions, including Alzheimer's disease. We foster the rapid translation of research into practice (bench to bedside).
We are looking for an
Administrative Assistant
to provide administrative support to our senior leadership and professional services teams. You will provide the essential assistance that allows these teams to focus on strategic matters.
Some of what you'll be doing:
calendar and meeting management: schedule appointments; facilitate in meeting room bookings and room set up; assist with meeting agendas and minute taking where required
email/mail management and preparing documents and other communications, this may include preparing formal letters, contracts and transcribing clinical notes
managing travel itineraries, accommodation & flight bookings, and event coordination etc.
supporting our Research Support Officers to meet and greet our participants
dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence, post and packages
processing various expense claims
ensuring office and participant spaces remain clean/tidy at all times
providing basic IT support
compiling professional standard documents and presentation materials in Microsoft Office.
The skills, experience, and qualifications you'll bring:
good knowledge and use of systems including Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Outlook
excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work well in a team
strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
attention to detail
a proactive approach
a professional persona that acts with discretion, initiative, and diplomacy
committed to delivering high quality results, overcoming challenges, focusing on what matters.
Even better if you:
have previous experience operating as a PA
have worked in a start-up, scale-up, or SME environment
enjoy a highly varied workload.
