Job Description

The post holder will make a significant contribution to the success of the Business Support Team based in the Recovery Unit in Ysbyty George Thomas, and the wider Inpatient and Community teams. This will involve excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to deal with distressed and irate patients/carers.
A key area of the post will be to have experience with financial systems such as non-stock ordering, petty cash and dealing with patients monies or the equivalent demonstrable knowledge. The postholder will also have experience in data entry and retrieval of data for reporting purposes. They will also be required to attend and minute meetings.
Main duties of the job
Be responsible for maintaining, updating and processing patients' monies and accounts for individual patients, recording all receipts and debits and the banking of income in accordance with financial control procedures for the Mental Health Directorate.
Oversee the petty cash system.
Minute and transcribe meetings, distributing necessary papers as and when required.
Audio and copy type letters/reports generated by the team.
Assist with the typing of research projects as necessary.
Prepare reports and presentation material.
