We are seeking a personable, presentable, and professional Administrative Assistant to serve as the first point of contact at our school's reception from 08:30 to 15:30. This front-of-house role is pivotal in ensuring a warm and efficient welcome to students, parents, staff, and visitors.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Office Manager - supporting the Prep School in the mornings and the Senior School in the afternoons. The ideal applicant will be organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Greet and assist visitors, students, and staff in a courteous and professional manner. Manage incoming calls, emails, and enquiries, directing them appropriately. Handle general administrative tasks, including mail distribution and correspondence. Maintain and update records using our administrative systems. Organising after school club activities and assisting staff with school trips Recording after school club and breakfast club charges on ParentPay (training will be given if required) Assist with organising school events, parent meetings, and staff briefings. Manage office supplies and ensure the reception area is tidy and well-stocked. Liaise with teaching staff to ensure efficient communication and support across departments. Support the school's safeguarding procedures by monitoring visitor access. Work collaboratively to identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:



Proficiency in IT with the ability to quickly learn new systems. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently. Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine enjoyment of working with both children and adults.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills:



Familiarity with the Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.). Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
