We are looking for a highly motivated, compassionate person to join the Medicine Care Group at Scarborough Hospital.
We are consistently working towards improving our services for our patients, and are looking for an individual who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal and administrative skills to join our team.
The successful candidate will be required to work well under pressure and demonstrate the ability to prioritise the demands of a busy service, and manage their time and workload effectively.
You must possess excellent communication skills and be able to develop good working relationships with the administrative, managerial and clinical colleagues to work as an effective member of the team.
Please note: The post may become Permanent at the end of this Fixed Term/Secondment.
Main duties of the job
The post will provide a varied and interesting workload, including, but not limited to these key areas:

  • Receiving and processing all incoming requests for annual and study leave.
  • Be the first point of contact for all clinical attachment enquiries, and process all applications ensuring all relevant policies are adhered to.
  • Coordinate resident doctor inductions ensuring relevant clinical presentations are tabled and speakers are booked.
  • Monitor doctor sickness and coordinate support meetings with the Operational Service Manager when triggers are met.
The post holder will be based at Scarborough Hospital.
