Greenfield Engineering is a leading sheet metal manufacturer focused on quality, service and continuous improvement. As we expand into new workstreams, we're building a forward-thinking team to match.
Due to winning new work, we are now looking for a reliable, tech-savvy and proactive administrator to support manufacturing operations and help drive efficiency. You'll work closely with management and production teams to make sure the right information is in the right hands, at the right time, and help keep everything on track behind the scenes.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be a key player in supporting manufacturing delivery, system accuracy, and communication. Typical duties will include:
Managing order-related queries and resolving issues promptly.
Chasing and sharing drawing updates, documents and process changes.
Coordinating with logistics and the warehouse to support despatch planning.
Keeping ERP/customer records clean, clear and current.
Monitoring stock or material flags and prompting the right follow-up.
Keeping customers and internal teams informed on order progress.
Supporting project activity by liaising with shop floor leadership.
Helping improve how we handle internal data and documentation.
Spotting inefficient processes or gaps, and suggesting smart fixes.
What we are looking for
We are not just looking for a data entry clerk, this is a fast-paced, fast evolving role for someone who's
Organised and detail-focused, but also able to prioritise and move at speed.
Digitally fluent, confident in Microsoft 365, and familiar with task boards.
Comfortable with ERP/MRP systems, or keen to learn fast.
Excellent on the phone and email, clear, polite, and able to hold people accountable professionally.
Naturally curious, not afraid to ask questions, learn the context, and make improvements.
Resilient and reliable, with a good memory and follow-through.
Has experience in a manufacturing environment (essential)
This is a supporting role, but you'll be central to how work flows. You'll be trusted with tasks that directly affect delivery, planning, and customer communication. If you're someone who thrives on being the steady pair of hands that keeps everything connected, you'll love this job.
