Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our IT team at Testvale Surgery.

We are currently recruiting for a part-time IT Manager to work closely with a friendly and approachable team across both clinical and non-clinical staff.

This role will be for a Monday and Tuesday 08:00 - 16:30 (15 hours per week).



We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be a problem solver, able to multitask and have good analytical skills.

The role has lots of variety and entails IT and Information Governance leadership, QOF and Enhanced Services support as well as general administrative duties which includes carrying out recalls as required by the doctors, ensuring appointment screens are up to date, booking locums, snomed coding procedures and providing support for reception phones.

Main duties of the job

:

1. IT and IG leadership for the organisation and first point of contact for any issues.

2.Information Technology: To ensure the efficient running of the Practice computer systems including trouble shooting and provision of staff training.

3.QOF and Enhanced Services: To develop and run searches, check/audit data and ensure smooth patient administrative processes.

4.Information Governance: To ensure processes and procedures to support the safe and effective delivery of Information Governance, including staff training; and

5. General Administrative duties: Carrying out recalls as required by the doctors, ensuring appointment screens are up to date, booking locums, snomed coding procedures and providing support for reception phones.

Testvale Surgery has its roots in Totton going back over a century and since 1987 has been at our present location on Salisbury Road. We have well-established charitable support in the Friends of Testvale Surgery, who help us to improve the care we provide for our patients.

The post-holder will assist in promoting and maintaining their own and others health, safety and security as defined in the practice Health & Safety Policy, to include:

Using personal security systems within the workplace according to practice guidelines. Identifying the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks. Making effective use of training to update knowledge and skills. Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards. Reporting potential risks identified.
